Ada Leota Belt, 95, passed away September 3, 2023 at Diversicare of Larned.

She was born July 15, 1928 in Hooker, Oklahoma, the daughter of Willard Earl and Ada Florence Parker Mead.

A longtime area resident, she worked as an LMHT at Larned State Hospital for 34 years. On July 1, 2009, she moved to Otis to be near her daughter, Linda Hughes.

On March 23, 1946 she married Lloyd Belt at Belpre, Kansas; he preceded her in death on March 1, 1996.

Survivors include: daughter Linda Hughes and Keith Davis, Otis; daughter-in-law Joyce Belt, Kansas City, Missouri; Eighteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Willard and Ada Parker Mead; husband, Lloyd Belt; six brothers, Lloyd Mead, Roy Mead, Evart Mead, Vernon Mead, Eldon Mead and Carold Mead; and a son, Wesley Belt.

Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with Steve McKiearnan presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Belpre Cemetery.
