Clayton "Allen" Peck, 60, born September 14, 1957; passed away peacefully February 11, 2018 in Lawrence, Kansas.
He was a creative and skillful man. He owned several businesses throughout his life putting his talents to work. He was the sole-proprietor of AJ's Custom Signs & Graphics in Lawrence. He custom designed graphics, installed vehicle lettering and much more. He designed and produced props for two movies "The Jayhawker" and "Planet Negro". He helped design and build the gazebo in Larned for the Larned Noon Lions Club. He was a general contractor and owned Home Crafters where he specialized in custom hardwood floors. He was a member of the RAT construction crew doing handyman and remodeling work and owned C&M's Auto Body. But mostly he enjoyed having fun and being around family and friends. He liked going to Chiefs games, going fishing and working in the flower garden.
Survivors include; mother, Sharon Larsen, Lawrence; fiance, Joann Garrett, Topeka; daughter, Shannon Peck, Lawrence; son, Jeremy Peck, Lawrence; sisters, Vesta Hicks, Sonja Carson, both of Nekoma, KS, Lisa Larsen, Lawrence; brother, Robert J. Larsen, Larned; grandsons, Kaleb Carroll, Topeka, Logan Horton, Lawrence and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert O. Larsen, and grandson, Zachary S. Carroll.
Memorial graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, at the Larned Cemetery with Father Bernard Felix presiding with a celebration of life gathering to follow at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish Center, Larned, KS.
