Burdett - Amber Rose Schmitt, 17, died, August 30, 2009 near Jetmore.
She was born March 28, 1992 in Newton, the daughter of Bill and Amy D. Skinner Schmitt. She was a Senior at Pawnee Heights High School, Rozel, and a former student at Macksville.
She was a member of; Kays, 4-H, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, many after school programs, Volleyball and Track.
Survivors include; her parents, a brother, Justin Schmitt of the home, maternal grandparents, John W. Skinner, Great Bend, Carolyn Casey, Hartford, Paternal Grandparents; Nick and Rose Schmitt, Great Bend.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Pawnee Heights High School Gymnasium, Rozel, with Ron Thomke presiding. Friends may sign the register book from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Beckwith Mortuary. Casket will be closed.
Memorials may be sent to the Amber Schmitt Memorial Fund, in care of the Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550.
