Garfield- Barbara Ann Birney, 68, passed away August 7, 2017 at Diversicare of Larned.
She was born November 12, 1948 in Hutchinson, KS, the daughter of Alfred Max and Ruth Zook Fox. An area resident, she was a Licensed Mental Health Technician at Larned State Hospital.
She loved cats, dogs, crocheting, sewing and gardening.
On March 15, 1980 she married Robert Max Birney in Larned, KS. He survives.
Survivors include: one son, Leon Ostrander, Great Bend, KS; three sisters, Norma Ahlvers, Glen Elder, KS, Donna Heitmann, Crestone, CO and Arlene Lickess, Stafford, KS.
Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date. Beckwith Mortuary, Box 477 Larned, KS 67550 is in charge of arrangements.
