Betty J. Fleske, 88 died April 13, 2012 at the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned.

She was born May 8, 1923 in Pawnee County the daughter of Elmer and Bessie Flick Kirkwood.
A lifetime area resident; She worked on the farm with her husband for many years.

She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Lutheran Woman Missionary League and was a charter member of the Gem Unit all of Larned.

On September 15, 1948 she married Elmer Fleske at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Albert, he died April 4, 1994.

Survivors include; a son, Bill and wife Janet, Larned, three daughters, Kathy Bruner and husband Tom, Great Bend, Karen Crosby and husband Ed, Pawnee Rock, Jane Fox and husband Kevin, Larned, ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by; a brother, Arlyn Kirkwood and a sister Frances Kirkwood.

Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Richard Langness presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
