Betty L. Nielson's Obituary
Jetmore – Betty L. Nielson, 72, died January 8, 2013, at the Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.
She was born June 23, 1940, in Kinsley, the daughter of August and Clara Burns Helfrich. A longtime area resident, she was a LPN and a homemaker.
She was of the Lutheran Faith.
On September 23, 1986, she married Robert L. Nielson at Jetmore. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Kenny Helfrich, Jetmore; two daughters, Jana Smith, Hutchinson, Sherlyn Espinoza, Hanston; a brother, Dean Helfrich, Woodward, OK.; a sister, Betty Jo Gearing, Kearney, Nebraska; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Steven Avey and Gary Piper; two brothers, Bill and Raymond Helfrich.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Jetmore, with Pastor Dennis Fulton presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
