Beulah Marie Rabourn McHugh, 87, died January 10, 2009 at Hays Medical Center, Hays Kansas.
She was born December 29, 1921 in Greensburg, the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Stella Mertle Kimbrel Rabourn. A resident of Larned since 1961 moving from Dodge City; she was a bookkeeper.
Beulah moved to Dodge City at age 4, graduated from Dodge City High School in 1939. She was member of the Church of Christ in Larned and Great Bend. She taught bible school for 29 years and worked at the book shop and WoolWines in Larned.
On January 6, 1943 she married Orval Perry McHugh at Pageland, South Carolina. He died May 22, 1981 in Larned.
Survivors include; a son, Roger Craig McHugh, Chandler, Arizona, a daughter, Orvalee Aldrich, Garfield, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by; her parents, four brothers, Meritt, Manford, Duane, Willard, and two sisters, Velma Rumsey and Doris Nickel.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 15th at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned with Chuck Marshall presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550. Burial will be in the Garfield Cemetery, Garfield, Kansas.
