Jetmore – Bonita (Bonnie) M. Johnson, 72, died May 6, 2013, at Ness County Hospital, Ness City.
She was born April 9, 1941, in El Dorado, the daughter of Floyd Francis and Willie Marie Hollis Tong. A longtime area resident, she was a daycare provider (Bonnie's Daycare).
She was of the Christian Faith and belonged to the Red Hat Society, Jetmore.
On July 31, 1960, she married Harold W. Johnson at Leon, Kansas. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Ronald Dean Johnson (Vickie), Roanoke, Texas; two daughters, Marshiela Joy Van Vleet (Rick), Kennewick, Washington; Kimberly Loy Salmans (Mike), Hanston; a brother, Elza Allen Tong, Leon; a sister, Billie Lucille Ullum, Cross Timbers, Missouri; nine grandchildren, two great grandsons and her beloved dog, Shelby.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, George Francis Tong and Larry James Tong.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Jetmore with Pastor Dennis Fulton presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
