Brent Lynn Boese, 65, passed away March 22, 2022 at Hays Medical Center, Hays.

He was born January 10, 1957 in Larned, the son of Vernon G. and Ella M. Eilts Boese.

A lifetime area resident, he was a Juvenile Corrections Officer at Larned Juvenile Correctional Facility in Larned. He loved his grandchildren and was an avid animal lover. He enjoyed taking care of chickens, raising his bird Richard, and fishing. He also enjoyed tinkering and working on vehicles. He was a collector of many things.

Survivors include: two sons, Jason (Brandi) Boese, Temple, Texas, Aaron Boese, Lewis; daughter, Brandi Boese, Derby; two brothers, Lavern (Rosa) Boese, Great Bend, Rodney (Janie) Boese, Rozel; three sisters, Glenna Belcher, Kinsley, Sandra (Dennis) Sauer, Rozel, Marva D. McDonald, Kinsley; eight grandchildren, Diego Perez, Shaylyn Perez, Tristen Perez, Erin Perez, Mariah Byard, Gunnar Boese, Daelyn Boese, and Liam Boese.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; son, Joshua Boese; brother, Robert Boese; and sister, Shirley Shank.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
