Stafford – Brodie D. Leonard, 79, died May 1st, 2006 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, Kansas.
He was born January 8, 1927 in Oklahoma, the son of Gus and Reva Webb Leonard. A Stafford County resident for the last 6 years moving from Ardmore, Oklahoma, he was a over the road truck diver for 26 years, retired, and then work as a County Maintenance worker in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
He was a member of the Church of Christ, Larned.
On August 17, 2000 he married Hazel M. Coffee Martin at Larned. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son Johnny Leonard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a daughter Mary Alice Magruter, Milburn, Oklahoma; three step-sons, Frank Raines, Springfield, Missouri, Ray Dean Raines, Bristow, Oklahoma, Roland Martin, Belpre, Kansas; two step-daughters, Gwen Raines, Washington State, Annette Riley, Abilene, Kansas; two sisters, Ellen Jolly, Coleman, Oklahoma, Wilma Dick, Minco, Oklahoma; two half-brothers, David, Milburn, Oklahoma, Clifford Leonard, Arkansas; Ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James and a sister Virginia Payton.
Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Fellsburg Cemetery, Fellsburg, Kansas, with Pastor Brad Wangerin presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned.
