Burdett - Calvin Roscoe Smith, 81, died June 25, 2007 at the Penrose Main Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was born November 2, 1925, at Burdett, Kansas the son of John and Bessie Ruff Smith. He was owner and operator of a farm in Burdett, Kansas for 35 years.
He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
On March 28, 1971 he married Ella Pridemore. She survives.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elaine Gross and Roena Matthews.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Browns Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in the Browns Grove Cemetery, Burdett.
Memorials may be sent to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Arthritis Association, both in care of the Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550. This notice may be viewed and condolences left at www.beckwithmortuary.com.
