Obituary

Larned – Carl Dean Immenschuh, 70, died October 22, 2011 at Promise Regional Hospital, Hutchinson, of asbestos related lung cancer. Born April 18, 1941, at the family home in Fellsburg, Ks. the son of Edward and Bernice Ingraham Immenschuh.
He attended the University of California-Riverside. Carl & Vallene started Pelican Photographics, The Pelican Press and the Kinsley Graphic. He was a member and a trustee of the Peace Lutheran Church, Albert, Boy Scout Leader, Relay for Life Team, Optimist Club, Larned Chamber of Commerce and Ambassadors, and the Advisory Board for the Juvenile Justice Authority, all of Larned.
On June 3, 1961, he married Vallene Oetken at Peace Lutheran Church, Albert. She survives.
Other survivors include: wife, Vallene Oetken Immenschuh; two daughters, Lori and husband Bill Rountree, and Lani Immenschuh, both of Hutchinson; a brother, Bert Immenschuh, Buffalo, WY.; three grandsons, Jason Hardin, Hutchinson, Kelly Arter, Mayport Naval Station, FL. and Zackery Arter, Orlando, FL; two great grandchildren, Jayden and McKenna Hardin.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 29th at the Peace Lutheran Church, Albert, with Rev. Patricia Reep presiding. Prayer service, Friday at 7p.m. at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Friends may call from 9a.m. to 8p.m. Thursday and Friday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Interment will be at the Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery, Albert.
