Larned – Carol Ann Gingrich, 80, passed away September 19, 2024 at Country Living of Larned Home Plus, Larned, KS.
She was born October 20, 1943 in Stafford County, the daughter of Roy Allen and Cornelia Emily Allen McBride. A lifetime area resident, she was a Bank Teller for Farmers and Merchants Bank for 24 years.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, St. John, where she was involved in various church groups. She was also involved in EHU in Zook and 4-H. Carol was a loving and devoted farmwife. She loved attending her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids sporting events and enjoyed music, gardening, collecting angels, putting puzzles together, playing cards, sudoku and singing at many different events.
On October 22, 1961, she married Theodore V. "Teddy" Gingrich in St. John, KS. He passed away June 6, 2022.
Survivors include: three daughters, Shari (Jim) Soukup, Desert Hills, AZ, Serena (Tim) Neidig, Belpre, KS, Lori (Brent) LaMar, Desert Hills, AZ; three sister-in-law's, Kathleen Cryderman, Salina, Vivian Johnston, Lenexa, Martha (Vince) Guzzo, Overland Park; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Jennie Pearl
Walker, Cornelia Joyce Turner, Janice Fay Duncan and a brother, Roy Allen McBride.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Church of Christ, St. John, KS, with pastor Zeb Carter presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2024 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Inurnment will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Zook, KS. Family invites you to join them for refreshments from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Zook Community Building, following graveside services.
