Larned – Cecelia R. (Emard) Blackwell, 85, died November 9, 2006 at Lutheran Medical Center, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
She was born June 19, 1921 at Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Mose and Lydia Patnode, Emard. A resident of Arvada, Colorado since 2004, she was a former longtime resident of Larned, she was the former gift shop clerk for the Santa Fe Trail Center, Larned.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and Past President of the Sacred Heart Alter Society, both of Larned.
On September 12, 1941 she married Verne C. Blackwell at Bessemer, Michigan. He died August 21, 1991.
Survivors include: three sons, Jerry, Charleston, South Carolina, Michael, and Mark Allen, both of Arvada, Colorado; two daughters, Lisa Blackwell, Arvada, Colorado, Brenda Rambo, Wichita; five brothers, Ambrose Emard, Saugus, California, Donavan Emard, Garberville, California, Lester Emard, Minnetonka, Minnesota, Paul Emard, Blaine, Minnesota, Mark Emard, Mapel Grove, Minnesota, eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral mass will 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Church, Larned with Father Bernard Felix Celebrant. A Family Rosary will be held 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at Beckwith Mortaury Chapel. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
