Jetmore – Charles R. Hastings, 82, passed away March 24, 2018 at Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.

He was born September 20, 1935 in Jetmore, the son of Dr. W. E. and Jennie Mae King Hastings.  A lifetime area resident, he owned and operated Hastings Real Estate as a realtor/broker and was a farmer.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Choir, Jetmore Lions Club all of Jetmore and the K-State Singers.

On December 5, 1958 he married Sandra S. Jones in Manhattan.  She survives.

Other survivors include: daughter, Susan (Phil) Hastings-Guerrero, Jetmore; four sons, Michael (Shauna) Hastings, Bridgewater, VA, Greg (Susan) Hastings, Kansas City, KS, Warren (Susie) Hastings, Dallas, TX, Brian (Marda) Hastings, Jetmore and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Donald, W.R.(Bob), Warren, James, Arthur and Herbert Hastings.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2018 at United Methodist Church, Jetmore, with Pastor Cyd Stein presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore.  Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
