Charles Alan Oetken, 73, passed away October 20, 2024 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

He was born May 11, 1951 in Larned, the son of William Edward and Charlene Wonsettler Oetken.

A lifetime area resident he worked in the oilfield and attended Larned Assembly of God. He liked fishing, hunting, woodworking and spending time with his grandkids.

On July 2, 1972 he married Mildred "Millie" Rupp at St. John; she preceded him in death on March 29, 2017.

Survivors include: son, Bill (Tina) Oetken, Centennial, Colorado and two grandchildren, Kaylee and Kenna Oetken, all of Centennial, Colorado; brother, Steve Oetken, Great Bend; sister, Marcia Oetken, Great Bend.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, David, Kevin, and Robert Oetken.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Larned Cemetery with Pastor David Spare presiding.  Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary.
