Charlie M. Smith's Obituary
Jetmore – Charlie M. Smith, 77 , died March 27, 2009, at his home in Jetmore.
He was born December 15, 1931, at Jetmore, Kansas, the son of Carl R. and Grace E. Bell Smith. A lifetime Jetmore resident, he was a farmer and stockman.
He belonged to the United Presbyterian Church, was a church Trustee and Elder, Soil Conservation Board, COOP Board, all of Jetmore, and the K.L.A. and he was a Air Force Veteran
On June 12, 1958, he married Sandra Crouse in Jetmore. She survives.
Other survivors include: one son, Mike and wife Twila Smith, Olathe; two daughters, Shari and husband Terry Housman, Jetmore, and Robin Smith, Haslett, Michigan; one brother, Richard Smith, Jetmore; two sisters, Bessie Hermon, Claremore, Oklahoma, and Joye Neeley, Owasso, Oklahoma; Five Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Smith.
Funeral will be at10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore, with Rev. Mark Durham presiding. Friends may call from 9a.m. to 8p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore, with Military graveside rites.
Memorials may be sent to the Hospice of the Prairie or the United Presbyterian Church, in care of the funeral home.
