Jetmore – Christie R. Bamberger, 94, died August 1, 2007, at the Hodgeman County Long term Care Center, Jetmore.

He was born September 30, 1912 in Hodgeman County, the son of Charles and Agnes Hertel Bamberger, he was a farmer, stockman and a lifetime area resident. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, past school board member, Farm Bureau, all of Jetmore and the Kansas Livestock Association, and a very active community supporter.

On November 4, 1938, he married Thelma Henderson at Newton. She survives.

Other survivors include: three sons, Dennis and wife Betty, Jetmore, Christie Jr. and companion Dorothy, Coolidge, Mike and wife Vanessa, Jetmore; two daughters, Linda Housman and husband Laverne, Jetmore, and Shirley and husband Byron Ulery, Beloit; one sister Sue Haas, Ness City; 13 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd, Carl, and Martin; four sisters, Mayme Hendrickson, Irene Holmes, Sophie Bamberger, Ida Ziesch.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the United Methodist Church, Jetmore, with the Rev. Marvin Ewertt presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and Friday at the Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery Jetmore.

Memorials may be sent to the Christie Bamberger Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
