Jetmore- Charles R. (Chuck) Stroud , 71, passed away April 17, 2014 at his home in Jetmore, KS

He was born July 30, 1942 in Malvern, Iowa, the son of Robert Leland and Alma Francis Murphy Stroud. Moving to Southwestern KS in 1971, he was the jack of all trades having several different jobs. He was a golf course technician and he had numerous different jobs as an engineer in packing plants in Kansas and Nebraska. He also enjoyed working with mechanical refrigeration and was an avid tractor collector (Tired Iron). He was a very loving caring selfless man that put all others before him.

On February 22, 1991 he married Amanda Rodriguez in Dodge City, KS. She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Brian Stroud and companion Rita Gross, Dodge City and Kevin Stroud and wife Sondra, Spearville; two daughters, Kim Stroud and family friend Jill Meyer and Danielle Stroud, Dodge City; three brothers, Roger Stroud, Glenwood, Iowa, Phillip Stroud, Omaha, Nebraska, Steve Stroud, Thurman, Iowa; two sisters, Barbara Kiaman, Glenwood, Iowa, Kathie Cooper, Springfield, Nebraska; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Beckwith Funeral home, Jetmore with Rev. Jeff Hiers presiding. Memorials may be given to the Boy Scouts/Spanish Peaks in care of Beckwith Funeral Home Box 663, Jetmore, KS 67854.
