Hanston – Clarence "Larry" Doyle, 66, passed away December 1, 2017 at Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.
He was born May 13, 1951 in Springfield, CO, the son of Clarence Junior and Mildred Schweizer Doyle. A resident of Hanston for 37 years, moving from Hugoton, he was a truck driver.
He was a member of the Hanston United Methodist Church, lay leader and loved participating in the Journey to Bethlehem. He was a hard working man who never knew a stranger. He was a loving father, proud and devoted grandfather and he was never happier then when he was with his family.
On September 19, 1975, he married Tancy Brown in Walsh, CO. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Dwayne (Amy) Doyle, Wichita, KS, Douglas (Lauren) Doyle, Olathe, KS; daughter, Janet (Steve) Turner, Cimarron, KS; two brothers, Jack (Melva) Doyle, Goodland, KS, Craig (Tammy) Doyle, Ulysses, KS; two sisters, Lela Jane Blount, Albany, OR, Karen Sue (Mike) Townsley, Keyes, OK; five grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Nick Townsley.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Hanston United Methodist Church, with Pastor Cyd Stein presiding. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at a later date.
