Larned  - Clarence Edward Jones, 98 passed away November 14, 2024 at the Northcrest Living Center, Council Bluffs, Iowa.

He was born June 22, 1926 in Burdett, the son of Estel and Ruby Ross Jones.  A lifetime area resident; he was a Mechanic for Al Hanken Motors in Larned.

He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, and Walter S. Chears American Legion Post #106 both of Larned.  Clarence was a Corporal/T in the US Army Signal Corps during the Korean War and was a proud veteran. He had the privilege to participate in the Honor Flight of Larned.

On November 1, 1953 he married Emma L. Tittel.  She survives.

Other survivors include; a daughter Vickie Palec, Council Bluffs, IA, two grandchildren; Zachary (Jessica) Palec Bellevue, Nebraska and Jason (Catherine) Palec, Newport News, Virginia and two great grandchildren; Kira Palec and Korbin Palec.

He was preceded in death by; a brother, Dale Jones and a son-in-law; Eduardo Palec and a grandson, Eduardo Palec Jr.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Grace Lutheran Church, Larned with Pastor Daniel Harders presiding.  Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, Kansas.  Burial with military honors will be in the Larned Cemetery.
