Obituary

Jetmore – Clark F. Wasko was born March 21, 1934 in Jetmore, Kansas to Lou and Ada (Hubin) Wasko and passed away on January 19, 2026, at the age of 91 at the Hodgeman County Health Center.  Clark was the second in line of six boys.  Clark spent his entire life in Jetmore other than the two years he served in the U.S. Army stationed in Georgia in 1956-1958.

Clark married Shirley Joan (Hubin) Wasko on November 24, 1976.  She died June 20, 2009.

Clark's passion was as a mechanic in his father's shop, Wasko and Sons, where he worked with his father, Lou, until his father's death.  Clark then took over the family business.  Clark enjoyed working on and repairing vehicles, farm equipment, just about anything that had a motor.  He also enjoyed constructing and welding numerous objects.  Clark also ran the family farm.  Clark was an avid reader, loved watching westerns, enjoyed puzzles of all kinds, and loved playing board games with the family.  Clark was also very involved with the Odd-Fellows and thoroughly enjoyed his time playing pool and visiting at the Jetmore Senior Center.

Clark is survived by his stepchildren Candy Campbell, Hugo, Co. Gayle Sullivan and husband Joe, Kansas City, Mo. Brad Hubin and wife Danielle, Pomona, and Travis Hubin, Wichita; Brother's Bert Wasko, and wife Betty, Ness City and Howard Wasko, Wichita.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Shirley; stepson Kendall Hubin; brothers, Harry, Richard and Ivan Wasko.

Clark is also survived by numerous grandkids and great grandkids, nieces and nephews and many other close friends and family.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 26, 2026 at Jetmore Methodist Church with Pastor Maria Grimm presiding.  Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore.  Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore with military honors provided by United States Army and the Chester Hawkins American Legion Post #290.
