Larned – Connie Sue Goeckel, 68, passed away December 31, 2019 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, KS.

She was born May 13, 1951 in Larned, the daughter of Charles D. and Ruth Darlene Martin Barker.  A longtime area resident, she was a waitress, cleaned houses and was the secretary for J&C Electric.

She was of the Christian faith and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Larned.

On November 11, 1995 she married Jerry Goeckel in Larned.  He survives.

Other survivors include: son, Danny (Linda) Ramey, Larned, KS; daughter, Michelle (Steve) Seeman, Larned, KS; step son, Ben Goeckel, Washington, KS; step daughter, Holly (Mike) Brungardt, Blue Rapids, KS; brother, Freddie (Anita) Barker, Larned, KS; twelve grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren and one in the oven.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Lorie Lee Ramey.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2020 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with Father Mark Cowell presiding.  Friends may sign the register book from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday with family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.  Inurnment will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
