Cory Johnson, 38, passed away August 23, 2023 in Larned.

He was born August 24, 1984 in Great Bend, the son of Roger C. Johnson and Sherri L. Schmidt. He was a lifetime Larned and Pawnee Rock resident. He worked at Larned State Hospital Cafeteria and Pawnee County Grain Elevator and Co-op. He was a Larned High School graduate and enjoyed listening to music, fishing, walking, swimming, and reading the bible.

Survivors include: his parents, Roger (Debora Fox) Johnson, and Sherri Schmidt; daughter, Faith; brothers, Dustin Johnson, Hutchinson and Denton Johnson, Granberry, Texas; grandmother, Vera Schmidt, Larned.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: JayDee Schmidt; Ralph F. and Wanda (Hall) Johnson.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Pawnee Rock Gazebo, Pawnee Rock with Steve McKiearnan presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2023 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Pawnee Rock Cemetery.
