Jetmore – Craig C. Knobbe, 75, passed away May 15, 2021 at Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.

He was born January 22, 1946 in Dodge City, the son of John and Leah Gibbs Knobbe.  Craig was a graduate of Spearville High School, Dodge City Community College, and Saint Mary of the Plains College. A longtime area resident, he was a professor of Mathematics and Engineering.  His 40 year teaching career included Ford and Jetmore High Schools, Dodge City Community College and Wichita State University. During his time as a teacher, he was also committed to his own education and obtained a number of advanced degrees including Masters in Mathematics from University of Oklahoma, Masters in Education, Masters in Industrial Engineering, and EdS in Education, all from Pittsburg State University.

He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Jetmore and was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.

On August 21, 1965, he married Paulette Klenke at Windthorst.  She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Jeff (Ivy) Knobbe, Cimarron, Jason (Julie) Knobbe, Andover; daughter, Jessi Knobbe, Kansas City, MO; brother, Kyler (Barb) Knobbe, Cimarron; sister, Kit Wilson, Claremore, OK; six grandchildren, Karley, Kaitlyn, and Kieryn Knobbe, Nick, Andrew,  and Shao Knobbe.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Vigil and Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Jetmore.  Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the church and service will be viewable via Facebook live at www.facebook.com/beckwithmortuary , with Father John Forkuoh presiding.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore.  Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
