Jetmore- Daisy E. Hendrickson, 101, died February 8, 2009 at the Hodgeman County Long Term Care Center, Jetmore.
She was born July 14, 1907 in Hodgeman County, the daughter of Samuel H. and Louisa C. Gerecke Pitts. A Lifetime resident, she was a Teacher and Homemaker.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Baptist Women, Eastern Star, Sunny West Extension Club, So & So Club, Rebekah Lodge, Hodgeman County Historical Society, Hospital Aux, all of Jetmore.
On June 17, 1931 she married Irvin W. Hendrickson at Dodge City. He died November 29, 1977.
Survivors include: One son Samuel Leroy Hendrickson, Jetmore; one daughter, Roberta Joyce Reed, Kalvesta, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great children
She was preceded in death by one son, Wesley Morgan Hendrickson, one sister, Mildred Fern Hendrickson, one grandson Irvin Wesley Hendrickson.
Funeral will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, Jetmore with the Rev. Mark Durham presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church or Hodgeman County Historical Society, in care of the funeral home.
