Obituary

Larned - David (Dave) H. Mackintosh, 58, passed away November 21, 2016 at his home, Larned.

He was born August 16, 1958 in Salina, Kansas, Son of Donald H. and Barbara A. Bayles Mackintosh. A longtime area resident, he was a farmer/stockman.

He was a graduate of Hyannis High School, Hyannis, NE, where he was active in FFA, band, football team and the wrestling team which led to his lifelong interest in following wrestling. He received his Bachelors Degree from Kansas State University, where he was a member of the AGR Fraternity and the meats and livestock judging teams. He could be found at home watching bull riding and wrestling, but also enjoyed visiting with people and meeting new people. Dave never knew a stranger.

Survivors include; his parents, Elkhorn, Nebraska, two sisters, Connie (Vern) Klaumann, Omaha, Nebraska and Becky (Richard) Meyer, Hanover, Kansas, a brother-in-law, Doug Kotas, Milligan, Nebraska, four nephews, Derek Meyer, Brandon Meyer, Joshua Meyer and T.J. Kotas and two nieces, Jennifer Hunter and Samantha Peck.

He was preceded in death by a sister Janet Kotas and a great nephew, Chase Hunter.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Robert Sallee presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Cremation has taken place and private family inurnment will be in the Garrison Cemetery, Manhattan, Kansas.
