Hanston- Dean Waterhouse, 90, passed away December 21, 2017 at the Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore, KS.
He was born July 21, 1927 and raised on the family farm along the Pawnee River near Burdett, KS. the son of Robert M. and Grace E. Jones Waterhouse. A longtime area resident he was a Farmer and owned a domestic well service.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, a life member of the Kansas Water Well Association, a NRA member and Burdett American Legion Post 280 member. Dean enjoyed fishing on the Pawnee River in his younger years, he also loved hunting and riding his old Harley. He was a hard worker and thoroughly enjoyed ending a hard day with several of his favorite beverage, a good, cold red beer.
On November 30th 1952, he married Betty L. Tittel in Ness City, KS. She passed away July 15, 1994.
Survivors Include: two daughters, Linda (Dale) Hoagland, Fort Morgan, CO. and Gloria (Dan) Gobin, Hill City, KS.; one son, Clifton Waterhouse, Hanston, KS.; one sister, Rita Cure, Mt. Vernon, MO. and six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd Waterhouse and Leland (Jake) Waterhouse.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
