Dennis R. Jones' Obituary
Hanston – Dennis R. Jones, 67, died September 27, 2010 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.
He was born January 3, 1943 at Spearville, Kansas, the son of Bert & Bertha Smith Jones. He was a lifetime area resident. He was a lineman for Midwest Energy at Hanston, and he was also a Farmer. Dennis was a loving Father and Grandfather.
He was the Post Commander for the Veteran of Foreign Wars, Hanston. He was of the Christian Faith.
Survivors include: one son Brad Jones and wife Angie, Wamego; one daughter Kristie Jones, Dodge City; one brother Raymond Jones, Warsaw, Missouri; two sisters, Arlene Byrum, Larned; Ilene Cox, Hanston; four grandchildren, Jordan, Cassie, Ali and Bethany.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Dennis Bradley Jones, and one daughter, Jamie Lynn Jones.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday at United Methodist Church, Hanston, with the Rev. Gary Winget presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Brown's Grove Cemetery, Burdett, Kansas, with military graveside rites provided by the V.F.W. of Hanston.
Memorials may be sent to the Dennis R. Jones memorial scholarship fund in care of the Beckwith Funeral Home, Box 663 Jetmore, Kansas 67854.
