Obituary

Larned- Dennis Dean Voelker,71, passed away October 26, 2017 at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, KS.

He was born August 16, 1946 in Dodge City, KS. the son of Fred George and Anna E. Bright Voelker. A longtime area resident he was a Service Manager for Roth Equipment.

He was a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Army from 1968-1969. He enjoyed woodworking, taxidermy, trap shooting and restoring old cars. He was a 4-H Shooting Sports instructor and coordinator, Kansas Hunters Education instructor and coordinator, Boy Scout Leader, Tractor Safety instructor, Youth Mentor and an avid outdoorsman. He was also a member for the NRA.

On May 7, 1967 in Dodge City, KS, he married Marsha Love. She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Fredric Voelker, Lincoln, NE and Clifford (Tara) Voelker, Larned, KS.; three brothers, Johnny Voelker Sr., Mount Pleasant, TX., Albert (Carol) Voelker, Olathe, KS., Kevin (Debbie) Voelker, Collinsville, OK.; one sister, LaDonna (Dennis) Evans, Aledo , TX.; five grandchildren, Zachary Voelker, Colby, KS., Sarah Voelker, Lincoln, NE., Izabella Voelker, Azryn Voelker and Elexzia Voelker all of Holstein, NE.; one close family friend and partner in crime, David Snyder, Larned, KS. and his beloved dog Daisy and two grand cats, Harry and Gem.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Voelker and Fredrick Voelker.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
