Dolores Marie Martin, 98, passed away June 24, 2026 at Brookdale in Great Bend.

She was born March 13, 1928 in Pawnee County, Kansas, daughter of Arthur J. and Helen M. (Schartz) Wurm.

A lifetime Pawnee County resident, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned. Dolores attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated from Zook High School. She was an honorary member of the Altar Society, a choir member, and an organist. Along with raising and taking care of her family, she enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and dancing with Dad.

On June 2, 1948, she married Walter R. Martin Jr., in Larned; he preceded her in death on February 15, 2017.

Survivors include: three sons, Duane Martin, Brock, Texas, Steven (Terry) Martin, Larned, Ralph Martin, Larned; three daughters, Diane Ford, Kinsley, Karen McAllister, Larned, Jeanne (Christopher) Martin-Herman, Garfield; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; son, Darrell A. Martin; granddaughter, Chaitra Willow Ford; two great grandsons, Tate Martin and Kyler Lee Martin and a son-in-law, Dwight McAllister.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned, with Father Patrick Otor, MSP presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned with a Vigil Service and Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas.
