Larned – Donald Lee Davis, 75, died May 21, 2008 at his home in Larned.
He was born February 20, 1933 at Larned, the son of James Bruce and Edna Alice Roth Davis. A lifetime Larned resident, he was a retired carpenter at the Larned State Hospital.
He was an Army Veteran, member of the VFW, and American Legion, both of Larned.
On May 15, 1954, he married Bonetta Fay Buhrer at Larned. She survives.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Debra Lea Clawson and husband Jeff; two brothers, Byron Eugene Davis, Gatesburg, Illinois, John Wallace Davis, Phoenix, Arizona; three sisters, Lois May Foss Kingston, of Tennessee, Alice Elizabeth Pochop, Larned, Bonnie Ann Story, Pratt; and two granddaughters, Shannon Fisher and husband Aaron, Wichita, and Karrie Sleder and husband Matt, Liberal.
He was preceded in death by a brother James Bruce Davis Jr.
Memorial Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at the Larned Cemetery, with Rev. Wade Russell presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas.
