Donna June Eldridge, 86, passed away August 14, 2025 at Cheney Golden Age Home.
She was born June 23, 1939 in Elm Creek, Nebraska, the daughter of Paul and Marjorie Montgomery Chandler.
Moving from Nebraska in 1964 to Rozel and then later Burdett, she was a longtime area resident and a homemaker. She was a member of the Rozel and Burdett United Methodist Churches, Burdett American Legion Auxiliary, and bowling league. She worked the concessions at Pawnee Heights for many years and always attended her children and grandchildren's sporting events. Donna was very creative, doing embroidery, sewing, and needle point. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and singing.
On October 5, 1957 she married Everett "PeeWee" L. Eldridge at N. Hollywood, California. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2015.
Survivors include: two sons, Brad (Lori) Eldridge, Highlandville, Missouri, Rod (Trudi) Eldridge, Cheney; brother, Ed (Karen) Chandler, Kearney, Nebraska; sister, Ann Evans, Kearney, Nebraska; seven grandchildren, Hope (Ross) Umphrey and family; Shannan (Eric) Winsenberg and family; Cale (Megan) Eldridge (Hudson, Blakely); Erica (Anthony Enriquez) Eldridge; Eric (Stephanie) Eldridge (Landon, Bennett); Sarah (Joey) Frabasile (Ava, Mia); Charles Eldridge Jr. and family; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; two step sons, Ray Eldridge and Charles Eldridge; and brother-in-law, Ron Evans.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned with Pastor Linda Doyle presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2025. Family will be present on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in Brown's Grove Cemetery, Burdett, immediately following the service.
Memorials may be given to Burdett American Legion Auxiliary or Pawnee County Humane Society, in care of Beckwith Mortuary, PO Box 477, Larned, Kansas 67550. Personal condolences may be left at www.beckwithmortuary.com.
