Donna Ailene Schlereth, 64, passed away January 28, 2024 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.

She was born April 1, 1959, Dodge City, Kansas. The daughter of Cecil Duaine and Doris A. Phillips Denton. She worked in the Health Care field until she retired at Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.

She attended the United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore. She enjoyed gardening with her flowers and plants, watching KU basketball, and spending time with her pets and grandchildren.

Survivors include: spouse, Larry Leikam, Jetmore; son, Ryan Schlereth, Garden City; daughter, Mindy Burns, Kinsley; step-daughter Aubrey Barb, Denver, Colorado; mother Doris Denton, Jetmore; three sisters, Deanna Sherrill, Jetmore; Debbie Allen, Dodge City; Danetta Gochanour, Cawker City; brother Danny Denton, Jetmore; five grandchildren, Colton Schlereth, Jaron Hamilton, Jyles Hamilton, Kayia Barb, and Kamric Barb.

She was preceded in death by her father, Duaine Denton, niece Janelle Allen, and Greg Schlereth.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore with Pastor Mark Durham presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Cremation will follow the service.
