Jetmore- Donnie D. Betz, 78, passed away February 27, 2016 at Cedar Village Long-term Care, Ness City, KS.

He was born October 13, 1937 to Jake and Anna Betz at their farmhouse in Ness County. Besides farming and raising cattle, he was an elevator manager for Jetmore Grain and Feed.

He loved Farming, Gardening, Fishing and passing out candy to any child he encountered and he loved his grandchildren.

On May 28, 1962 in Miami, OK he married Sandra (Sandy) K. Knotts. She preceded him in death July 3, 2009.

He is survived by his children, Nancy White and Husband Rick of Bakersfield, CA, Cherie Pfannenstiel and husband Steve of Jetmore, Shane Betz and wife Laura of Olathe, KS. and Tate Betz and wife Jen of Olathe, KS.; Four grandchildren, Megan Punelli and husband Eugene of Bakersfield, CA., Parker Pfannenstiel of Hays, KS., Austin Pfannenstiel of Manhattan, KS., Ashlyn Betz of Olathe, KS. and one great granddaughter.; three sisters, Marcheta Hogsett of Ness City, KS., Marjorie Thomas of Denver, CO. and Marthel Stegman of Loveland, CO.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers, Merle Betz, Edward Betz, Harold Betz, Howard Betz, Cliff Betz and Junior Betz.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church, Jetmore with Carolyn Tarman and Pastor Dennis Fulton presiding. Visitation will be held Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be at the Fairmount Cemetery following the service.
