Larned- Dorothy F. Edmonds , 89, passed away March 22, 2018 at Diversicare of Larned.

She was born March 6, 1929 in Hallowell, KS, the daughter of Frank and Marie Schmidt Wiseman. Moving from Ellis, KS in 1972, she was a school cook and hotel business owner.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Altar Society, both of Larned and she enjoyed cooking, sewing and loved taking care of her family.

On November 27, 1946 she married Joy R. Edmonds in Oswego, KS. He passed away February 7, 2001.

Survivors Include: son, Timothy R. (Pauleen) Edmonds, Ellis; three daughters, Joyce L. Henderson and Sandi L. Edmonds, both of Larned, Mary (Doug) VonFeldt, Wamego; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn R. Wiseman; two grandsons, Jeremy and Ryan Henderson and a great granddaughter, Olivia Henderson.

Rosary and Vigil will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned with Father Bernard Felix presiding. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
