Dorothy Dawn Fox's Obituary
Larned - Dorothy D. Fox, 88, died May 16, 2013 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita.
She was born October 12, 1924 at Muskegon, Michigan, the daughter of Ernest W. Goldsmith. A longtime area resident of Larned; she was a farmer's wife, a Rosie Riveter for Boeing during WWII and worked in the Dietary Department at Larned State Hospital.
She attended the United Methodist Church, Larned.
On December 15, 1946 she married Walter Mac Fox in Wichita. He survives.
Other survivors include; three sons; Gary, Ottawa, Larry, Manhattan, and Maurice, Larned, four grandchildren, Eric, Larned, Chris, Salt Lake City UT, Bethany, Shawnee, Weston, Austin TX and three great grandchildren, Allen, Easton and Eli Fox, and a fourth grandchild is due this year.
She was preceded in death by; a daughter; Beth Ann Fox.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned with the Rev. Bethann Black presiding. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Foundation; in care of the Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550. Personal condolences may be left at www.beckwithmortuary.com
