Larned  - Douglas McKay Anderson, 62, passed away July 26, 2018 at his home in Larned from natural causes.

He was born August 17, 1955 in Wichita, Kansas; the son of Harold "Andy" and Bettye McKay Anderson.  He was a Teacher for 15 years; a Larned resident since August, 2006; moving from Arkansas City, where he received the 2005 Ark City USD #470 Teacher of the Year award; then retired from USD #495 Larned School District.

He was a past member of the Fort Larned Lions Club, loved hunting, enjoyed reading, writing, cooking, running and bicycling.

Survivors include; son, Jack Anderson; daughter Kristin Anderson; both of Larned; two brothers; Gene (Linda) Anderson and George Anderson, both of Wichita; a sister, Paula Anderson, Wichita; nephew, Tom (Kami) Anderson, Wichita and a niece, Cindy (Seth) Peterson, Plano, Texas.

He was preceded in death by; his parents and a sister, Kristin Anderson.

Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018 at the First Southern Baptist Church, 1224 Corse Ave, Larned, Kansas.
