Jetmore – Douglas (Doug) L. Burns, 44, died May 8, 2007 at his home in Jetmore.
He was born January 10, 1963, at Larned, the son of Richard & Theresa Zimmer Burns. He was a Fuel Transport Driver for the Dodge City Coop.
He was of the Christian Faith, and a member of the Son of American Legion Jetmore.
On December 24, 1997 he married Angell Hamann in Las Vegas. She survives.
Other survivors include: one daughters, Jacque Burns, Dodge City; one step-daughter Haley Endecott, Jetmore; one step-son Billy Bamberger, Dodge City; Parents Richard & Theresa Burns, Jetmore; two sisters, Laurie Hann, and husband John, Lawrenceville, Georgia; Terri Burns, Hermitage, Tennessee; Grandmother, Marie Hays, Jetmore; two grandchildren, Jordan Jones, and Tyler Endecott, Jetmore.
He was preceded in death by one brother John G. Burns.
Funeral will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Jetmore, with the Rev. Mitch Reece presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Beckwith Funeral Home Jetmore. A rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
Memorials may be sent to the Doug Burns memorial or St. Catherine Hospice both in care of the Funeral Home.
