Larned – Earl W. Golightley, 89, passed away November 3, 2025 in Topeka.

He was born April 14, 1936 in Wellington, the son of John and Eva Lamb Golightley.

A longtime area resident, he did boiler maintenance at St. Joseph Hospital, Larned and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He liked to go fishing, go to casinos, visit the Welcome Inn and meet up with his daily coffee group.

On December 27, 1959 he married Elaine Nadine Gideon at WaKeeney; she preceded him in death on November 7, 2009.

Survivors include: four sons, Daniel (Janet) Golightley, Topeka, John (Jeri) Golightley, Topeka, Jason Golightley, Midland, TX, Terry (Crystal) Golightley, Topeka; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife; two sisters, Opal Sorrells and Elizabeth Shatzwell; and a brother, Leland Golightley.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2025 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned with Pastor James Lucero presiding. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned with family present from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in Larned Cemetery, Larned.
