Spearville – Edwin (Ed) Bruce MacBride, 82 died April 28, 2007 at the Trinity Manor in Dodge City.
He was born January 12, 1925 at Detroit Michigan, the son of Clarence S. and Marion Frey MacBride, . He was a resident of Spearville for 41/2 years, moving from Spirit Lake, Idaho. He was a purchasing agent for the federal government.
He was of the Christian faith. A Lions Club member, serving as treasurer for 2 terms, Spirit Lake, Idaho.
He married Eunice Middaugh. They later divorced. She died Feb. 17, 2006.
On April 10, 1981 he married Helen Kropp in Golden, Colorado. She survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Elizabeth Berlin, Denver, Colorado, Bridget Jentzsch, Scottsdale, Arizona; one son, Bruce MacBride, Aurora, Colorado; three step daughters, Bridget Anderson, and Peggy Schulte, Spearville, Stephanie Hernandez, Colby, Ks; three step sons, Dennis Hernandez, Wichita, David Hernandez, Spearville, Tim Hernandez, Broomfield, Colorado; one granddaughter; two great granddaughters; sixteen step grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence MacBride Jr. and Donald MacBride.
Rosary will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore with Father John Maes and Deacon Dwaine Lampe presiding. Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Visitation will be from 9a.m. to 8p.m. Monday and Tuesday and until service time Wednesday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Body will be cremated and Inurnment will be at a later date.
Memorials may be sent to the Hospice of the Prairie, in care of Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore.
