Larned - Elaine G. Giles, 97, passed away November 12, 2017 at Diversicare of Larned.
She was born May 28, 1920 in Rozel, the daughter of George and Hazel Cook Williams. She was Owner and Operator of Elaine Giles Realty.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Larned and the Zook EHU. She also loved gardening and quilting and taught for a year in a country school.
In May of 1940 she married Leo Galliart in Rozel; she later married Benjamin M. Giles in November of 1973 in Wichita.
Survivors include; two daughters, Gay (Ted) Sauer, Lawrence and Merilee Galliart (Gary Dipman), Larned; a son-in-law, Kent Converse, Larned; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by; a son, Verle Galliart; a daughter, Linda Converse and two brothers, Lyle Williams and Dwight Williams.
Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Ted Sauer presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Mortuary. Burial will be in Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church, Larned or the St. Labre Indian School, in care of Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550.
