Larned – Eldon A. Hays , 86, passed away April 1, 2014 at Diversicare of Larned, Larned, Kansas.

He was born July 21, 1927 at Pittsburg, Kansas, the son of William Anderson and Hannah Laura Daykin Hays. A resident of Larned, moving from Arizona in 2006, he was a Grocery Store Manager. He was an avid hunter and loved any type of outdoor sports.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Larned.

On May 24, 1985, he married Linda Oles at Ness City. She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Dallas David Hays, Larned, Thomas Anderson Hays, Pheonix, Arizona; two daughters, Marilyn Montainge, Sedona, Arizona, Laura Clarkson, San Francisco, California; a sister, Lavon Dalby, Williamsburg, Virginia; a sister-in-law, Faye Gatton, Great Bend; four grandsons; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, William Duane and David Lee Hays.

Memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, at the Beckwith Mortuary chapel, Larned with Bob Sallee presiding. Private family Inurnment will be in the Larned Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association in care of Beckwith Mortuary, Box 477 Larned, Kansas 67550.
