Larned – Elizabeth " Euline" Sloan, 98, died July 29, 2009 at the Larned Healthcare Center, Larned.
She was born May 23, 1911 in Larned, the daughter of Clifford Dalis and Julia Frances Potter Hill. A lifetime Pawnee County resident, she was a Supervisor at Ideal Laundry, worked at A. A. Doerr Hardware in Larned and at the Post Office in Garfield.
She was a Member of the First Baptist Church, Larned, Garfield American Legion Auxiliary for 55 years, and also past President, Royal Neighbors of America, and the over 50 Club, Garfield.
On August 3, 1945 she married Charles O. Banks at Larned; he died June 30, 1951. She then married Thomas Wilson Sloan October 10, 1954 at Onaga, Kansas; he died September 29, 1965.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, at the Larned City Cemetery with Pastor John Hestor presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
