Larned- Ellen Vratil Raymer Lewis, 92, died Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 10:45 p.m. She was born October 30, 1921 to Charles and Stephina Svatos Vratil in Larned, KS.

She married Elvin Raymer on July 25, 1943 in Larned, KS. He passed away on October 24, 1989. She married James M. Lewis on June 14, 1996 and moved to Empire, CA.

She was an Elementary school cook for 13 years and a member of the First Christian Church and St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary in Larned, KS. She was also a member of the Empire Brethren Church, Empire Brethren Church Women's Fellowship and the Modesto Model A Club.

She is survived by her husband, Marshall Lewis of Empire, CA; daughters, Cecilia Tiller, Smyrna, GA and Carolyn Webb (Richard) of Red Feather Lakes, CO; stepdaughters, Sarah Brannon (Randy) of Madera CA, and Marsha Quesnel (Mark) of Omaha, NE; granddaughter, Carolyn K. Bacon (Christopher) of Sidney, NE; grandsons, Christian Tiller (Bristol) of Thomson, GA, and Chad Tiller (Jaynie) of Brooklyn, NY; six step-grandchildren; three great grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren; sister, Blanch Hagerman of Topeka, KS, and brother, Floyd Vratil of Pratt, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, 8 brothers, and two sisters.

Graveside Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Larned Cemetery, Larned KS with Rev. Dan Lundgren presiding. Visitation will be Saturday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Beckwith Mortuary.
