Jetmore-Elma Esther Sinclair, 91, died August 2, 2007, at Hodgeman County Long Term Care Center, Jetmore.

She was born October 1, 1915, in Barton County, Kansas, the daughter of Jacob and Hannah Maier Ehrlich. A longtime Jetmore area resident, she was a past sheriff of Hodgeman County, worked for McCellans of Dodge City and Hodgeman County Health Center for 20 years,

She belonged to the St. Paul Lutheran church, Jetmore.

On April 24, 1935, she married Francis J. Sinclair in Hoxie, Kansas. He died January 1, 2005.

Survivors include: one son, Leonard Sinclair, Hutchinson; two daughters, Bettie Burns, Hutchinson and Dorothy Ziesch, Hanston; one brother, Leroy Ehrlich, Fort Collins, Colorado; Fifteen grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Roy Sinclair; two sisters, Irene Proffit and Alvina Harms; one brother, Ott Ehrlich and a granddaughter, Lanette Ziesch.

Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, at United Methodist Church, with Rev. Marvin Ewertt and Rev. James Webster presiding. Visitation will be from 9a.m. to 8p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with family present from 2p.m. to 4p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Lutheran Hour, Jetmore, or the Elma Sinclair Memorial Fund, in care of Beckwith Funeral Home Box 663, Jetmore, Ks 67854.
