Larned – Elsie Valeria Klinge, 89, died July 9, 2007 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Larned.
She was born March 1, 1918 at Fullerton, Nebraska, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Roman Podraza. A Larned resident since 1998 moving from Wichita, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned.
On October 2, 1940 she married Martin Klinge at Fullerton, Nebraska. He died March 29, 1987.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin Podrazsa, John Podraza and a grandson, Jason Klinge.
Survivors include: a son, Richard Klinge, Edmond, Oklahoma; a daughter, Mary Klinge, Larned; and two granddaughters, Amy Bowman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kristen Klinge, Norman, Oklahoma.
Vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church, Larned. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Omaha, Nebraska.
Memorials may be sent to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church or CKMC Foundation both in care of Beckwith Mortuary, Inc., P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550.
