Larned – Elton L. Johnson 83, died July 16, 2009 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation, Great Bend.
He was born February 27, 1926 at Great Bend, Kansas the son of Gilbert Martin and Lena Margaret Bortz Johnson. A lifetime Larned resident he was a farmer.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Larned.
On May 21, 1950 he married Glenna Mae Deckert at Larned. She died February 19, 2009.
Survivors include: three sons, Keith Johnson and wife Kathy, Topeka, Mark Johnson and wife Joni, Larned, Neil Johnson, Larned; four sisters, Mildred Booker, Amarillo, Texas, Dorras Booker, Moorhead, Minnesota, Treva Smith, Larned, Darlene Fox, Great Bend; four grandchildren, Amy Moberg, Des Moines, Iowa, Megan Johnson, Topeka, Abby Johnson, Larned, Lindy Johnson, Lawrence; and two great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Joshua Moberg, Des Moines, Iowa.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Rev. Bill Fitzgerrel presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until service time at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
