Erma Estes' Obituary
Larned – Erma Estes, 91, died June 28, 2009 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital Long Term Care, Larned.
She was born July 11, 1917 in Stafford County, Kansas, the daughter of Owen and Powerley Gilliland Smith. A lifetime Pawnee County resident she was the former owner of Estes Dairy, Larned.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and the Larned Garden Club.
On November 8, 1941 she married Howard Clinton Estes at Larned. He died November 16, 1980.
Survivors include, a son, Gary Estes, Kansas City, Missouri; a sister, Bernice Zook, Larned; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Rev. John Grummon presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
