Rozel- Eugene T. Blattner, 93, passed away February 19, 2017 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, KS.

He was born December 11, 1923 in Rozel, KS; son of Charles and Elizabeth Hahn Blattner. A longtime area resident he was a welder.

He was a member of the Rozel City School Board, Rozel City Council, Lions Club, he was a School Bus driver and was a great service to others.

On April 27, 1947 he married Evelyn F. Ideker, in LaCrosse, KS. She passed away August 25, 1998. On June 9, 2001, he married Glendoris Foos in Rozel, KS . She survives.

Survivors include: three sons, Stanley K. (Rosa) Blattner, Hutchinson, KS., Steven L. (Donna) Blattner, Rozel, KS. and Stuart E. (Constance) Blattner, St. Joseph, MO.; two sisters, Charlotte Becker, Hays, KS., Dorothy Blattner-Ideker, Kinsley, KS., eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by six brothers, Sanford Blattner, LeRoy Blattner, Calvin Blattner, Vernon Blattner, Charles Blattner and Joe Blattner; one sister, Ellen Bentley and one great grandson, Patrick Blattner.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned with Pastor Stan Bryant and Pastor Brad McCoy presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday with family present 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery following the service.
